It was nearly 105 degrees at Don Burrus Field on Saturday afternoon; Burroughs quarterback Duncan Cloniger was cool as a cucumber. Duncan completed his first 6 passing attempts of the day for a cool 263 yards and an eye popping 5TD's. After the opening drive of the second quarter when Cloniger hit tight end Kortland Ware for a 25 yard touchdown, Coach Merritt decided that he had seen enough and sat his senior signal caller for the remainder of the contest.
Cloniger currently sits atop the St. Louis Area leaderboard with five touchdown passes. An incredible feat for a QB with only six passing attempts.
Duncan Cloniger and the Bombers (1-0) will square off next week against the Brentwood Eagles (1-0).
