MERRITT COMMITS TO WYOMING

2022 WR Caleb Merritt announced his college commitment earlier today to the University of Wyoming. Merritt was a heavily recruited prospect and considered offers from Kansas, Kansas State, Iowa State and Navy as well as Ivy League offers from Dartmouth, Brown, Cornell and University of Pennsylvania before ultimately settling in with the Wyoming Cowboys.

Merritt explained that he felt the combination of being able to play football in the Mountain West Conference, and a very strong Business school at Wyoming we’re almost too good to be true. Add the in the veteran leadership of Head Coach Craig Bohl and the exciting prospects of new Wyoming Offensive Coordinator Tim Polasek, and Merritt finds himself giddy with excitement.

“The coaches at Wyoming were incredible. From Coach Bohl to Coach Polasek, and even the strength coach (Eric Donoval) every single coach was really smart and very interested in developing me as a Wide Receiver.”

Now that Merritt is committed, he says that he can really focus his attention on the 2021 Bomber Football season.
